Resources for Current Matches

Monthly Report Forms can be filled out over the computer and e-mailed to us for a quicker response time. Make sure to include your name, date, and how long you have been matched with your Big/Little.

Ground Rules for Big	What to do/not do as a Volunteer Big Brother/Big Sister.

Overnight Policy and Permission Form (PDF Version)	If you have been matched for over a year, you may be eligible to have overnight visits with your Big/Little. But you MUST get formal permission from the Parent/Guardian and our Agency first!

Follow-Up Procedure:

Within the first 2 weeks of your match, and every month afterwards we want to talk to you to find out how it’s going. Please be available for these updates, return our phone calls or stop by our office if it’s more convenient for you.
After we speak to you in person or over the phone, we ask that you also fill out a self-assessment form of the match. They are attached above as Volunteer, Child and Parent Report Forms.

There can be many reasons why a match needs or wants to close. Whether it is a change in status (child or volunteer moves away) or an inability for the Big and Little to connect after a significant amount of time, we need to document the change.

IF YOU OR YOUR CHILD HAS A CHANGE OF ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER, YOU MUST NOTIFY OUR OFFICE. IF YOU OR YOUR CHILD STOPS MEETING WITH THEIR MATCH, YOU MUST NOTIFY OUR OFFICE.

Staying in touch with Big Brothers Big Sisters is the best way to make the match successful for everyone.

Once the match is officially closed, we can discuss whether you or your child would like to be re-matched in the future, if still eligible for our program.
